Jenson Button has refused to speculate whether he will sign a lengthy new deal with McLaren.
It was recently announced that the team would be resuming their partnership with Honda from 2015 after the Japanese manufacturer withdrew from Formula 1 in 2008 because of economic issues.
However, 33-year-old Button is happy to keep his options open as his career progresses.
"I don't want to think about the future too much at the moment," the Brit told Sky Sports News. "You've got to live in the moment and I don't think trying to agree a lengthy deal for the future is something that is interesting at the moment for me."
Button, who drove for Honda from 2006 to 2008, joined McLaren in 2010.
