Henrik Stenson has declared that he is in the best form of his career after a strong showing at the US PGA Championship saw him finish third.
Stenson moved back into the world's top 10 after edging countryman Jonas Blixt to come third at Oak Hill, carding a score of seven-under-par to end up two shots behind eventual winner Jason Dufner.
The Swede believes his form this week bodes well for a return to consistent contention in major championships, which remains his primary goal moving forwards.
He told Sky Sports News: "I didn't have the best of days golf-wise but I made some good stuff in between and had a chance coming in on the back nine.
"I wasn't the one with the lead, it was me making up ground and wasn't good enough to do so. I'm delighted with the form I've shown in the last two months and it is probably as good of a streak I've had.
"But we all know that a win is missing, we have four of these next year and I'm going to work hard to be even better when challenging."
The 37-year-old just missed out on equalling his best-ever showing at a major tournament, which came as he finished second to Phil Mickelson at the Open last month.
