Lee Westwood dropped three shots on his final two holes to fall away from the leaders at the US PGA Championship at Oak Hill.
Resuming on four-under-par, the Ryder Cup stalwart began his round at the 10th and picked up two shots early on to take him to within one of pacesetter Adam Scott.
Bogeys at the difficult 17th and at the second pulled him back to level par for the day, but Westwood seemed to regain his composure with a run of five straight pars.
However, he could only manage a double bogey at the eighth after finding rough from the tee, and the Englishman dropped another shot on his final hole to finish one-under-par and six off the lead.
