Martin Laird will take a three-stroke lead into the final day of the Waste Management Phoenix Open after shooting a three-under par 68 on Saturday.

The Scot negotiated the tricky 16th and 18th holes to finish 54 at TPC Scottsdale in a 13-under 200, edging out three opponents on 10 under.

Japan's Hideki Matsuyama, American Brooks Koepka and former Masters champion Zach Johnson are tied for second place at 203.

Another trio of golfers came in on nine-under par - Ryan Palmer, Justin Thomas, and Jon Rahm.

Among the highlights of the round was Francesco Molinari's hole-in-one on the par-three 16th hole, a feat that leaves the Italian among the chasing pack on eight under.
