Team GB suffered another first-round defeat in judo at the European Games on Saturday as Frazer Chamberlain fell at the first hurdle in the -90kg category.
The two-time European Cup medallist, 23, was beaten by Domenic Wenzinger of Switzerland in one of the first contests of the day.
Judo at this year's European Games is also acting as the sport's European Championships, while ranking points for the Rio Olympics are also on offer.
Sports Mole caught up with Chamberlain after his early exit to gauge his reaction.
Frazer, you're bound to be disappointed by how things went out there. What are your initial thoughts?
"I'm devastated, to be honest with you. I felt like I was in some good form and I was coming here for a medal. I threw it all away."
So was getting a place on the podium the least that you wanted to achieve here?
"My aim was top seven. I've fought the Swiss guy before and lost to him. The first part of the fight was going well - I was controlling it - and then I just made a silly mistake and got caught out."
A lot of the other British judoka have been talking about how fine the margins are in this sport. Do you think you could have won on another day?
"One minute you can be winning and you can be walking off with a medal, and the next you can be losing. Judo is a really cut-throat sport. You can be on top of the world and then feeling suicidal!"
With the European Games doubling up as the European Championships in judo, does that bring an added pressure?
"This is one of the toughest competitions in our sport. All of the top dogs are here. None of the competitors who come here is a mug. The fact that it's the European Championships and you have to qualify to get here makes it even harder. There's no easy first fight. Everyone is the best."
Looking forward, what's on the horizon for you now?
"I'll probably be taking a break next week, then after that I'll be fighting in the British Open. Then I head out to China for the World Cup and then I'll just take it from there."
