Great Britain's Owen Livesey has qualified for the last 32 of the men's -81kg judo event at the European Games.
The Briton overcame Montenegro's Srdjan Mrvaljevic in the round of 64, winning by way of ippon after five minutes.
Livesey, who won gold at the Commonwealth Games last year, will face Portugal's Carlos Luz later this morning for a place in the last 16.
The -81kg event will run to its conclusion later today, with the final and bronze-medal match taking place this evening.
