Disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong considers starting new cancer foundation

Armstrong 'to start new cancer foundation'
Lance Armstrong reveals that he may create a new cancer foundation after he was dropped from Livestrong when his years of doping were exposed.

Disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong has revealed that he may consider creating a new cancer foundation should he be refused a return to Livestrong.

The 42-year-old was booted out of the foundation that he founded in 1997 two years ago after the United States Anti-Doping Agency banned him from competitive cycling for life due to years of doping.

Armstrong, who was also stripped of his seven Tour de France titles, has told Des Moines Register that if he is "not welcome" at Livestrong, he will start a new foundation, "which is probably the most likely scenario, or just be willing and able to help, wherever [he is] asked".

Armstrong created the Livestrong brand in his hometown of Austin, Texas after he survived testicular cancer 17 years ago.
