Paralympic runner Richard Whitehead will compete along with a number of celebrities in the latest installment of ITV's diving show Splash!.
The 37-year-old double amputee, who will dive without his prosthetic legs, is hopeful that he can encourage disabled people to also take on the challenge.
"I'm a double leg amputee, which affects my mobility but I use prosthetics," the Daily Star quotes Whitehead as saying. "I won't be using them when I dive though.
"I wanted a fresh challenge and I also wanted to encourage people with disabilities to try diving themselves."
Whitehead will take part in the show, which has Olympic diver Tom Daley as a mentor, on Saturday evening.
