Luca Brecel's dreams of becoming the youngest winner of the UK Championship were ended on Thursday as the Belgian teenager lost 6-5 to Shaun Murphy in the quarter-finals.
Brecel, 17, only needed to pot the pink to reach the last four, but a mistake allowed Murphy back in before he won the next two frames to progress.
The 2008 winner will face Ali Carter for a spot in the final following the world number 15's 6-5 triumph over Stuart Bingham.

Selby found himself 0-4 down to the Australian, only to win the next six frames to make his way into the semis.
