James Willstrop has praised the Glasgow crowd for their support after booking his place in the quarter-finals of the Commonwealth Games on Friday.
England's medal hope admits that it was a special experience to secure an 11-5 11-5 11-5 victory over New Zealand's Martin Knight in front of the fans at the Scotstoun Sports Campus.
"It's a great event and there are wonderful crowds in, they are all staying as well even though there are some long matches," Willstrop told Team England's website. "It's such a pleasure to play in front of that crowd.
"I'm feeling good and I'm just loving playing at the moment. It's such a great event."
England's flag bearer Nick Matthew was also among the players to reach the quarter-finals on Friday.
