Brits Ross Murdoch, Andrew Willis ease into 200m breaststroke semi-finals

British duo Ross Murdoch and Andrew Willis qualify for the 200m breaststroke semi-finals at the European Championships in Berlin.

British swimmers Ross Murdoch and Andrew Willis have secured their places in the 200m breaststroke semi-finals at the European Championships in Berlin.

Scot Murdoch, who won silver in the 100m final, finished second to Willis in their heat with a time of 2:11.15, while the Englishman came out on top in 2:09.01.

Adam Peaty also competed in the heats, but was slower that his British teammates and failed to earn a place in the showdown this evening.

Marco Koch of Germany qualified as the fastest in the field in a time of 2:09.11.
