Team GB's Martin Stamper has been knocked out in the quarter-finals of the men's -68kg taekwondo event in the European Games in Baku.
The 28-year-old made a slow start in his meeting with Alexey Denisenko, allowing the Russian to pick up five points in the opening round.
Denisenko extended his lead further in the second before Stamper picked up his first points of the match with a head kick, but his opponent still had a 10-point advantage heading into the third round.
Stamper got a point back early in the final round, but the deficit was too great as Denisenko wrapped up an 18-6 victory, leaving the Briton facing a wait to see if he will get another chance in the repechage round later.
