Andy Murray has declared himself fit for Great Britain's Davis Cup clash with the USA next week.
There were concerns that the Scot could bow out of the meeting following his Australian Open defeat to Roger Federer, his longest match since returning from back surgery.
"I always enjoy playing the Davis Cup," he told reporters. "I just need to look to try and recover now as quickly as possible because matches like this would normally take a couple of days.
"I haven't played a match like this for a while so it'll take me a little bit longer to feel good again so I'll need to take a bit of rest, and obviously with travel and stuff and adjusting to a new surface, that's going to be another challenge.
"It's not ideal for rehabbing a back surgery. Ideally I'd stay on the same surface. Hopefully I can do that okay."
Murray is expected to play doubles with fellow Scot Colin Fleming, as well as two singles rubbers during the contest.
Great Britain's showdown with the Americans will commence next Friday on a special clay court set up on the outfield of the Petco Park in San Diego.
