Roger Federer has announced that six-time Grand Slam winner Stefan Edberg will be joining his coaching team ahead of next month's Australian Open.
The Swiss, who has won 17 singles titles at the four biggest tournaments on the ATP calendar, has slipped to sixth in the world rankings.
"Stefan was my childhood hero, and I am really looking forward to spending time with, and learning from, him," BBC Sport quotes the 32-year-old as saying.
Edberg, who won Wimbledon in 1988 and 1990, added: "I'm really excited to be part of Roger's team and I hope together we can bring out his best tennis."
Federer's last Grand Slam win came at Wimbledon in 2012.
