Fifth seed Milos Raonic exited the China Open in the first round earlier today thanks to a 6-4 6-4 defeat at the hands of Viktor Troicki.
Raonic had won the two previous meetings between the players, but he fell a set behind when world number 22 Troicki claimed a break of serve in the ninth game.
It was a similar story in the second set as the Serbian broke again for a 5-4 lead, although on this occasion he managed to do so from 40-0 down.
Troicki will now take on either Adrian Mannarino or Lu Yen-Hsun for a place in round three of the competition.
