Number 18 seed Feliciano Lopez has suggested that his aggression played a crucial role in his fourth-round victory over Fabio Fognini at the US Open.
The Spaniard booked a place in the last eight of the tournament, as he produced a dominant display to claim a comfortable straight-sets victory against the man who had put an end to Rafael Nadal's aspirations at Flushing Meadows.
"Every match is different and my game is another game. I was very aggressive and my serve was working," Lopez revealed after his win in New York.
Lopez is now expected to face the winner of Sunday night's clash between Novak Djokovic and Roberto Bautista Agut.
