Andy Murray survives Adrian Mannarino scare

Andy Murray comes from two sets behind to defeat Adrian Mannarino 5-7 4-6 6-1 6-3 6-1.

Andy Murray has come from behind to beat Adrian Mannarino and book his place in the third round of the US Open.

The Frenchman took a two-set lead before Murray won the final three sets to win by a 5-7 4-6 6-1 6-3 6-1 scoreline.

The world number three started the first set in the worst possible fashion and was broken, but he broke back in game four to level the score.

Mannarino won game 11 and then survived four break points in game 12 to take the first set.

The lead was doubled when Mannarino took two successive love games at the end of the second set.

Murray finally found his form in set three, and twice won three successive games on the way to a 6-1 win.

At the start of the fourth set, Mannarino survived five break points, but Murray held serve throughout and broke in games three and nine to level the score.

The comeback was complete for Murray in the final set as he romped to a 6-1 victory in just 23 minutes.
