Stanislas Wawrinka has revealed that he anticipates a "tough" third-round Wimbledon clash with Fernando Verdasco.
The world number four beat Victor Estrella Burgos 6-3 6-4 7-5 to seal a relatively comfortable second-round victory this afternoon.
In doing so, the Swiss set up a clash with the Spaniard, who survived a three-hour marathon in his encounter with Dominic Thiem earlier today.
"Fernando Verdasco will be a tough player, a lefty with an amazing forehand and loves to play on the grass here," he told BBC Sport.
"He's a tough player," Wawrinka added of Estrella Burgos. "I didn't know exactly what to expect, but I'm happy to get through in three sets.
"There are a lot of things I would like to be doing better but it's important to get through."
Verdasco, a former quarter-finalist at SW19 in 2013, is ranked 43rd in the world. They have only played each other once before, a match which Verdasco won.
