Poland's Kamil Stoch has said that he knew that he would have a "good" result in the men's normal hill ski jump at the 2014 Winter Olympics.
The 24-year-old won the gold medal in the event on Sunday, while Peter Prevc of Slovenia and Norway's Anders Bardal finished second and third respectively.
"I feel like it's really not happened to me. Did this really happen?" BBC Sport quotes him as saying.
"It was a great [first] jump. I didn't know if I won but I knew the result would be good."
Simon Ammann, who won gold at the Vancouver Games four years ago, could only finish 17th in Sochi.
