Great Britain figure skater Penny Coomes has revealed that she gave everything physically and emotionally in the ice dance at the 2014 Winter Olympics.
Coomes and partner Nick Buckland finished in 10th place in Sochi, scoring 151.11 points in their two routines, and 24-year-old admitted that she was in tears at the end of their second dance.
"I gave it everything. I couldn't feel my legs when I got off. I couldn't feel my feet, I just wanted to take my skates off. It has happened a couple of times but this was particularly bad, she told TeamGB.com.
"At the end I can hold it together better than that but I just sat crying. I felt quite nervous out there with it all.
"It has definitely given me that hunger and I really want to come back in four years time and get that medal. That is what we are going to strive for everyday. We will give it everything and see how it goes."
United States duo Meryl Davis and Charlie White won the gold medal in the event.
