Rex Ryan: 'I have high expectations of Buffalo Bills'

Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan admits that he will push his side hard to achieve their best because of the talent in their roster.

Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan has revealed that he has high expectations of his team for the 2015 season.

Ryan was appointed as the club's new head coach after Doug Marrone opted out of his contract with the AFC East side, despite their 9-7 record in the 2014 campaign.

The 54-year-old – who coached the Bills' rivals the New York Jets for the past six seasons – has admitted that he will push his players extremely hard due to his confidence in their talent.

"They're going to recognise immediately how excited we are to be here and what our expectations are with this football team," Ryan told the club's official website. "They're going to realise how high we set the bar. The reason for the optimism is because of the players that we have.

"We feel very good about the players that were here and the guys that we've added to the team. We feel we have a very talented roster. Then they're going to realise the talent that we put together on our coaching staff. I think we have an all-star coaching staff."

Ryan guided the Jets to the AFC championship game in his first two years with the club before failing to reach the playoffs in four successive seasons.
