Jay Cutler has praised new Chicago Bears head coach Marc Trestman for caring about the team's players.
The Bears brought in the Montreal Alouettes head coach earlier this year after firing Lovie Smith.
The team's starting quarterback told NFL.com: "He really cares about the players in the locker room, which is different. Offensively, he wants to protect the quarterback, which makes me happy to hear that.
"If we're able to give me a clean pocket, and I'm able to complete a throwing motion, I should complete it. I should be able to do my job. They'll do their job, and I'll do my job, and it's easy."
The Bears finished third in the NFC North in 2012, missing out on a place in the playoffs.
