Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin has claimed that the best in his position in the NFL this season has been Cleveland Browns' Josh Gordon.
Irvin, who played his whole career with the Dallas Cowboys, said that no other player in the league could come close to Gordon, even Detroit Lions star Calvin Johnson.
"[Johnson is] a phenomenal, phenomenal talent; certainly he's a beast of a player," the Columbus Dispatch quotes Irvin as saying.
"But if you ask me right now, the wide receiver MVP of the 2013 season is Josh Gordon. It is Josh Gordon, period."
Irvin was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2007.
