Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has conceded that he was "surprised" to be named on his side's injury report ahead of their match against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The 39-year-old was sacked four times in his side's narrow win over the Baltimore Ravens as he struggled to throw the ball downfield.
However, Manning has revealed that, although the match proved to be a demanding contest, he was not physically affected by the hits he took at Sports Authority Field.
He told reporters: "I was kind of surprised I was on it to tell you the truth. I think like a lot of guys, it's a pretty physical game on Sunday, so in many ways maybe I'm honoured.
"You know what my thoughts are on the injury report. I think the media should have to do an injury report as well, all of you guys. I'd like to create it myself."
The Broncos face the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday.
