The Houston Texans have announced that they have released veteran defensive back Danieal Manning.

The 31-year-old had been with the club since the 2011 season, but has now been cut due to his high salary cap number for the 2014 campaign.

"I'm dealing with it great," Manning told FOX Sports. "Both parties agreed to disagree. It's nothing personal. I'm really not upset at all. To be honest I'm actually kind of happy. We all came to an agreement. There's no bad blood.

"I would like to thank them for all of their support. These fans embraced me. They made me feel at home every time. Those guys will be missed. I wish I could bring them with me where ever I go."

Manning played just six games in the 2013 season due to injury.
