Half-Time Report: Kansas City Chiefs leading struggling New York Jets

The New York Jets are heading for a seventh consecutive defeat having gone into the half-time break trailing the Kansas City Chiefs 21-10.

The New York Jets are in line for their seventh consecutive defeat having gone into the halfway stage of their match against the Kansas City Chiefs 21-10 behind this evening.

The Chiefs put the first points on the board on their opening drive as Jamaal Charles battled his way into the endzone from one yard for his seventh touchdown of the year.

The Jets were left cursing their luck later in the first quarter when Calvin Pace appeared to have blocked Alex Smith's pass, only for the ball to drop into the lap of Anthony Fasano, who reached into the endzone for a fortuitous two-yard score.

The visitors finally got on the scoreboard with just over two minutes remaining of the half as Michael Vick took his time to pick out Eric Decker in the endzone for a three-yard touchdown.

The Chiefs ensured that they were in control of the match going into the interval, however, with Smith finding Travis Kelce for a 12-yard score in the closing stages to extend the gap to 14 points.

The Jets reduced that deficit to 11 courtesy of a Nick Folk field goal as time expired, but they face an uphill battle to end their losing streak in the second half.
