The Minnesota Vikings have restricted the St Louis Rams to a pointless first half at the Edward Jones Dome, taking a 13-0 lead into the break.
The visitors opened the scoring on their first drive of the season as Blair Walsh found his range early on, slotting a field goal over from 52 yards.
Minnesota made an even quicker start to the second quarter as Walsh knocked over his second kick of the afternoon, this time converting from 46 yards.
The Vikings ended the half strongly as well, with Greg Jennings getting his side's first touchdown of the new season, combining with Matt Cassel for an eight-yard score.
