The Minnesota Vikings could get the chance to hand starts to cornerback Xavier Rhodes and defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd for their home opener this weekend.
Both players have been out of training recently having suffered groin and shoulder injuries respectively, but coach Mike Zimmer has suggested that the pair might just scrape into their week two fixture.
"He was alright. We're just getting him in some [drills]," Zimmer said of Rhodes, while also stating that he will know more on Floyd in the next day or so.
The Vikings will be looking to kick on from their dismantling of the St Louis Rams during the league's opening weekend when they take on the New England Patriots on Sunday.
