Cameron Jordan: 'We will reach the Super Bowl this year'

New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan has insisted that this will be the year that his side reach the Super Bowl for the first time since the 2009 season.

New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan has expressed his belief that his side will reach the Super Bowl in the 2014 season.

The Saints were knocked out in the divisional round of the 2013 playoffs by the eventual NFL champions the Seattle Seahawks.

The 25-year-old has insisted that the experience will benefit the team along with their new additions to help them make the push to reach the game in Glendale next February.

Jordan told NFL Network: "This is the year I get a Super Bowl Cam Jordan going back home to Arizona, Super Bowl in Arizona. We have the team in place, we have an offense, we have Drew Brees, we have Jim Graham now, he's happy, and that's a huge thing for us.

"We brought in a ball-hawk in Jairus Byrd, Kenny [Vaccaro] is going into his second year. The defensive line, I can't say enough about my defensive line.

"From Akiem Hicks to Junior Galette to Tyrunn Walker, you can name any, Brodrick Bunkley, my D-line is phenomenal. I love my guys."

Sean Payton's side last won the Super Bowl in the 2009 season.
