Sean Payton relishing Philadelphia return

Sean Payton is looking forward to a return to Philadelphia, but hopes that his New Orleans Saints can beat the Eagles.

New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton has admitted that he is looking forward to returning to his old home when his side face the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

The two teams meet in the wildcard playoff game, and Payton said that it will be tough against the passionate Philadelphia crowd.

"There are a lot of friends and family back there," he told NBC Sport. "The first pro football game was at the Vet. The first baseball game was at the Vet. The first college game was Army-Navy.

"The Flyers winning back to back Stanley Cups, all of those things were a part of my childhood and so the sports fans are amazing there, very passionate and a real die-hard fan base. That presents challenges when you play, especially in the playoffs."

The Saints were 11-5 for the regular season, while the Eagles were 10-6.
