New York Giants cornerback Prince Amukamara sustained a biceps injury during the 40-24 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Monday night.
Giants coach Tom Coughlin isn't optimistic about Amukamara's return this season as he conceded that the type of injury usually requires surgery.
"Normally that's surgery," Coughlin told reporters.
"There is a lot of concern. We've lost a player or two in each game, it seems like. That's not a good one. Prince was playing well. He did a very nice job tonight, and that was a blow to lose him."
Nickel cornerbacks Walter Thurmond and Trumaine McBride have already been lost for the season while the Giants are also dealing with ongoing injury problems with Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.
