The New York Giants are reportedly interested in signing wide receiver Mike Williams, with the Buffalo Bills understood to be ready to discuss a trade.
The Giants are looking for a replacement after star receiver Victor Cruz suffered a season-ending torn patellar tendon on Sunday.
As a result, they are expected to explore trade talks with the Bills ahead of looking at other possible targets, according to the New York Daily News.
"If he gets me compensation worthy of a No.1 receiver, which he claimed he is, then we would entertain it," Bills general manager Doug Whaley noted.
Williams has eight catches for 142 yards so far this season but he has significant salary money guaranteed and a roster bonus in his current deal.
