Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has revealed that he sees similarities between his game and that of Jacksonville Jaguars rookie Blake Bortles.
The 32-year-old noted the comparison back in August, but as Bortles begins to play minutes in the league this season, Roethlisberger is convinced that they look alike in their style and play.
"A young me. I don't move quite as well as I used to," Roethlisberger told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Bortles has drawn comparisons after showing an ability to move in the pocket and extend plays with his feet, with the Jaguars starlet showing glimpses of mobility that go beyond his rival signal caller.
The rookie has completed 70% of his throws and has added 54 yards on the ground all despite Jacksonville slipping to a 0-4 start to the season.
Roethlisberger and Bortles are expected to face each other when the Jaguars host the Steelers at EverBank Field on Sunday.
