The Pittsburgh Steelers have taken a 10-6 lead into the halfway stage of their NFL clash with the winless Jacksonville Jaguars this evening.
The hosts were the first to register when Josh Scobee successfully converted a 43-yard field goal with 5:17 left in the first quarter.
However, the Steelers hit back in the opening stages of the second quarter with a kick of their own, Shaun Suisham knocking it over from 24 yards to level the scores.
Both sides struggled to make much ground on offence throughout the half, however, as demonstrated when Blake Bortles was forced into a risky long throw from his own endzone that was intercepted by Cortez Allen.
The first touchdown finally came towards the end of second quarter when Ben Roethlisberger span away and found Michael Palmer in the endzone for a one-yard score.
Jacksonville did register on the scoreboard once again before the interval, however, with Scobee converting his second kick of the evening, this time from 35 yards.
