New York Giants 36-7 Carolina Panthers

Andre Brown scores two touchdowns as the New York Giants record a comfortable 36-7 triumph over the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte.

A dominant first-half performance from the New York Giants provided the platform to secure a 36-7 win over the Carolina Panthers at the Bank of America Stadium.

Eli Manning organised the Giants superbly in the first quarter and a 14-yard pass to Martellus Bennett put the Superbowl champions ahead early in the first quarter.

The Panthers struggled in the opening period, with neither rushing or passing plays threatening the Giants.

Lawrence Tynes followed his conversion with a 47-yard field goal with three minutes left in the first quarter to extend his side's lead.

The second quarter was identical to the first, with a short run from Andre Brown securing a second touchdown of the contest for the Giants.

Two field goals either side of half-time from Tynes continued New York's scoring streak before the Panthers could even put a point on the board.

Quarterback Cam Newton's short run gave Carolina what turned out to be nothing more than a consolation touchdown.

Two more scores from the boot of Tynes sandwiched Andre Brown's second touchdown of the contest to ensure that the Giants left Charlotte as comfortable winners.
