Fred Davis has said that he thinks Robert Griffin III will be ready to play sooner than expected.
The Washington Redskins quarterback is recovering from knee ligament surgery, and is a doubt for the start of the 2013 NFL season.
The tight end, who has been RG3's rehab partner as he deals with an Achilles injury, told NFL AM: "You can barely even tell that he's hurt. He's doing every drill.
"He looks comfortable and normal to me. When he first got back, I was surprised, like, 'Did you just have surgery?'
"He works hard. Whenever he says he's going to do something, he's going to do it. I believe that he'll be back sooner than people expect."
The Redskins' head coach Mike Shanahan confirmed last week that the side would be focusing on backup quarterback Kirk Cousins during the off-season.
