Team England's Jade Lally focused on discus qualifiers

Discus thrower Jade Lally insists that she is not thinking ahead to Friday's Commonwealth Games final, but instead focusing solely on tonight's qualifiers.

England's Jade Lally has insisted that she is "looking forward" to getting her Commonwealth Games campaign up and running.

The three-time British champion takes part in qualifying for the discus final at Hampden Park tonight.

"Training has been going well and I'm looking forward to competing," Lally told the Crawley Observer. "I don't want to think about the final yet. I've got a job to do in qualifying first."

Qualifying is scheduled to get underway at 7.30pm.
