Laura Weightman has taken the bronze medal in the women's 5,000m event at the Commonwealth Games.
The 26-year-old managed silver at the Glasgow Games four years ago but had little chance of finishing on the upper echelons of the podium today after a race that was dominated by two Kenyans.
The pair had already broken free of the chasing pack halfway through the race, world champion Hellen Obiri going on to cross the line in a time of 15:13.11 for gold.
Margaret Chelimo Kipkemboi took the silver with a time of 15:15.28, a good 10 seconds ahead of Weightman in third.
Weightman ran a calm and measured race and was happy to wait further down the chasing pack, picking the last lap to step up her pace and surge ahead of Uganda's Juliet Chekwel.
Scotland's Eilish McColgan also ran a good race, crossing the line in 15:34.88 for sixth place.
