Chijindu Ujah takes British Championship gold in men's 100m

Chijindu Ujah's time of 10.10s is enough to see him earn gold in the men's 100m at the British Athletics Championships in Birmingham.

Chijindu Ujah has won gold in the men's 100m event at the British Athletics Championships with a time of 10.10s.

The 21-year-old, who finished sixth at the Birmingham Diamond League meet last month, saw off the chasing pack to put his previous disappointments behind him.

James Dasaolu, a gold medallist at the 2014 European Championships, was the next quickest by finishing second ahead of Ojie Edoburun in the final event of the day.

Andrew Robertson narrowly missed out the medals, meanwhile, with his time of 10.32s not enough to see him earn a place on the podium.

Elsewhere, Dina Asher-Smith came out on top in the women's equivalent in a convincing manner.
