Jessica Ennis has confirmed that she will not be entering the 100m hurdles.
Ennis took the gold for the heptathlon inside the Olympic Stadium yesterday on a night that has been hailed as the greatest ever for British Athletics, but the Sheffield native has today confirmed that she will not be entering the Hurdles.
Denise Lewis, who claimed gold in the heptathlon in the 2000 Sydney Games, says the news will not come as a shock.
"Not surprised Jess isn't doing hurdles," she tweeted. "These next few days & weeks are dreamlike and she needs to capture every second."
