Rajon Rondo has reportedly edged a step closer to returning for the Boston Celtics, according to a report.
The 27-year-old has been on the sidelines recovering from a torn ACL since January, but he has now received the all-clear from the Celtics medical team, according to the Boston Globe.
Rondo has suggested in the past that he does not want to ease back into things this season and the decision over when to return to the court will reportedly be made by the player.
The point guard has been linked with a trade to the New York Knicks during his absence, but the Celtics have insisted that they want to retain his services on a number of occasions.
