Formula 1's packed travel schedule is already causing headaches in 2025, with several top teams receiving their cars and equipment late in Shanghai.
The slim gap between the opening Melbourne-China double-header meant a single cargo plane delay left mechanics from McLaren, Red Bull, Mercedes, Williams, and Aston Martin unable to start work in the Shanghai garages.
Pirelli, the sport's sole tyre supplier, is also impacted.
The FIA responded by shortening Wednesday's usual curfew period "due to the logistical challenges ... resulting from delays in freight arrival".
All affected teams have confirmed they'll be ready for Friday's free practice, though some may need to breach other curfew limits to prepare.
