The Golden State Warriors have announced that general manager Bob Myers has been handed a three-year contract extension.
The deal will now see Myers stay on at Golden State until at least the 2017-18 season, with the franchise looking to repay a man who has been recognised as a large contributor towards the Warriors' recent turnaround.
The coach has served the team since 2011, having previously worked as a sports agent at the Wasserman Media Group before being scouted by Golden State co-owner Joe Lacob.
Under the guidance of Myers, the side has reached the playoffs for the past two seasons, while also managing to keep hold of star player Stephen Curry.
