Antawn Jamison: 'Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard didn't trust each other'

Former Los Angeles Lakers power forward Antawn Jamison claims that Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard had trust issues during last season.

Antawn Jamison has suggested that Dwight Howard and Kobe Bryant didn't trust each other during last season's difficult campaign for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Howard joined the Lakers in August 2012 but he struggled for form and fitness as the Lakers were beaten in the first round of the playoffs. However, Jamison believes that the team's problem was a lack of trust between Howard and veteran Bryant.

"It was difficult," Jamison, who recently joined the Los Angeles Clippers from the Lakers, told reporters. "I really believed before we got started that [Kobe and Howard] could co-exist. But it just didn't work out that way. Both guys are unbelievable basketball players, the best we have in the game right now.

"But for whatever reason we just couldn't get that relationship as far as them communicating and them trusting each other the way you needed them to trust each other in order for us to win a championship. It just didn't happen that way."

Jamison recently refused to rule out the possibility of Bryant winning another title with the Lakers.
