NBA roundup: Los Angeles Clippers fall to disappointing defeat

The Los Angeles Clippers allow the Golden State Warriors to get back into their playoff series battle, as they are beaten 118-97 at the Oracle Arena on Sunday.

The Los Angeles Clippers have allowed the Golden State Warriors to get back into their playoff series battle, as they were beaten 118-97 at the Oracle Arena on Sunday.

The Warriors rose victorious to compound a disappointing few days for the Clippers, after team owner Donald Sterling was investigated for alleged racist remarks.

The Clippers staged a pre-game protest in light of the incident, with players wearing their shirts inside-out to hide the team's logo, though the resilience was not to show in the game, as Stephen Curry shone with 33 points to bring the Warriors back into the series.

In Oregon, the Portland Trail Blazers moved into a 3-1 lead over the Houston Rockets, as they triumphed 123-120 in overtime during Game Four at the Moda Center.

The Blazers mainly had LaMarcus Aldridge to thank as he took his post-season tally to 141 points and 46 rebounds during the win.

Trevor Ariza produced a match-winning display for the Washington Wizards as they beat the Chicago Bulls 98-89 at the Verizon Center.

Ariza scored 30 points, inclusive of six three-pointers, while Bradley Beal scored 18 points, Marcin Gortat 17 and John Wall 15 as the Wizards built an unassailable lead in the second half.

Finally, in New York, the Toronto Raptors levelled their playoff series with the Brooklyn Nets at 2-2, following a 87-79 victory at the Barclays Center.

DeMar DeRozan was the standout performer with a solid 24 points, leaving the Raptors to gain their first win in a road playoff game since 2001.
