Tony Allen has been suspended for one game without pay for kicking Chris Paul in the face earlier this week.
The Memphis Grizzlies guard will miss the team's game against the Golden State Warriors later today after being hit with the penalty.
Allen was ejected from the team's win over the Los Angeles Clippers in the first quarter on Monday after his left leg caught Paul in the face.
The 31-year-old has averaged 9.1 points per game so far this season.
