Russell Westbrook has been passed fit to make his comeback for the Oklahoma City Thunder against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday night.
The three-time All-Star has been forced to undergo two operations on his right knee since April and was not expected to return to the court for at least two more weeks.
However, the Thunder medical team have reportedly declared themselves happy with his current condition and he is now expected to make an appearance for the Thunder at the Chesapeake Arena.
Oklahoma have won once and lost once in the first week of the new NBA season.
