Wesley Matthews has said that an altercation which saw three players ejected inspired the Portland Trail Blazers to beat the Golden State Warriors.
Matthews and his teammate Mo Williams were both ejected, along with Warriors reserve Draymond Green, following a third-quarter scuffle involving players from both teams, after which the Blazers rallied to come from behind for their 10th win in a row.
The shooting guard told reporters: "That inspired us. We got better from it, we got stronger from it.
"Mo and I were continuing to cheer. They couldn't hear us, but we were continuing to cheer."
Head coach Terry Stott added: "Everybody was sticking up for everybody. The game was kind of going back-and-forth. I don't know if we had a lot going, but I thought it really brought us together."
The Blazers host the New York Knicks tomorrow.
