CJ McCollum to undergo "non-operative" procedure

Portland Trail Blazers rookie guard CJ McCollum will undergo an ultrasound procedure on his broken foot to stimulate bone growth.

The Portland Trail Blazers have announced that CJ McCollum is to undergo a non-operative ultrasound procedure on his foot later today.

The treatment is designed to stimulate bone growth in order to repair a fracture to the guard's fifth metatarsal.

McCollum, who sustained the injury earlier this month, will travel to Charlotte today to receive the treatment.

The 22-year-old was selected in the first round of this year's Draft.
