Dereck Chisora's promoter Frank Warren confirms that the British boxer has appealed against the withdrawal of his licence.

British boxer Dereck Chisora has appealed against the withdrawal of his boxing licence.

The 28-year-old heavyweight's promoter Frank Warren has confirmed that Chisora is hopeful that the decision will be overturned.

The British Boxing Board of Control came to the decision to strip Chisora of his licence to box in England after getting caught up in a scrap with David Haye during a press conference following Chisora's defeat to Vitali Klitschko in Germany last month.

Warren also believes that a fight between Chisora and former WBA champion Haye will be organised in the future.

"It's a natural fight, it doesn't matter what anyone says," said Warren. "It's a bigger fight than either of them fighting Wladimir or Vitali Klitschko."

Haye retired from boxing last year and has previously claimed that he would only re-enter the ring for a bout with either of the Klitschko brothers.
